This book is a depiction of the author's struggle with gender identity and eventual arrival at a place that works air. A lot of parents, obviously, when they hear about this, are understandably concerned. It's not intended to titilate. But you can understand why non parets hear that. They're very concerned. And so i think that's why this book especially is being argeted right now.
Some conservative parents are trying to get books about race and sexuality banned from libraries and schools. Author Clint Smith says it’s dangerous to ban books to eliminate discomfort.
