Around the end of the 19th century and in the beginning of the 20th century people were really starting to look at at language. Volashinoff finds almost all of these accounts to be sort of lacking something somewhere along the line, he says. His way of dealing with that is sort of critiquing them through the logic of Marxism or dialectical materialism.
