When you look at a fighter jet, any time that it's like field ready or service ready, what you're really looking at is a culmination of a lot of other project. Sometimes you have to redesign all the stuff you had thought you had nailed down and it could be really small stuff. And that's another multi-million dollar problem. The smaller it is actually, the more expensive it is to make because of, you know, miniaturization.
