The Effects of Cultural Evolution on the Fitness Landscape

When you turn off the cultural evolution part, whatever your kind of objective is for the agents, then that becomes reflected in the prior pretty strongly. But when you turn on the cultural evolutionary processes, it looked kind of different. It's not gradual. It's generally like a small tweak in the right direction. And then learning and cultural transmission takes over that process and amplifies those biases such that you don't need to do any further optimization in biological space.
