In 1842 Joseph Smith discovered Freemasonry through various members of the Mormon church who had entered the faith as established Freemasons. The endowment is an adult initiation ritual that is supposed to prepare Mormons for their place among the exalted in the afterlife or to become gods themselves. If you watch the actual, the, the ritual, they play a 45 minute long video that explains this shit and it is dry. But it's about the physicalization of a belief that then amends it deep inside.
