The Cost of Inline Form Labels

Inline form labels are well used in a bad way right now. People are using it as labels when it's supposedly used to give examples of what to input into the form. An example of that done right is when you have a label inside, if you must have it inside the text area or the input field, then you could actually move the field out or the label outside. I don't know how that is from an accessibility perspective though.
