All Things Are Lawful, but Not All Things Build Up

The new testament begins with paul i quoting, probably something that the corinthians had said to him in a letter. He seems to be interacting with things that they said, and then giving his clarifications on various matters. This was fascinating, though paul is very careful about not undoing the gospel work he's done. Instead of going that route, says, ok, all things are lawful, but it doesn't mean that all things are the best thing for you to do.
