Is Alcohol a Negative Thing?

Alcohol was a big part of my upbringing, whereas some people feel that alcohol is not a negative thing. And whether it's directly or indirectly, it shapes how we interect and how we choose our relationships. So i can only use my own life. I have very negative view of alcohol because of those things that happened in my childhood. Some child can never take what their parent did as an example for another person to follow.
