The Importance of Documents in Visa Work
In the 1980s, I was a junior consular officer checking applications for visas in the Philippines. A lot of Filipinos who are seeking to come to the U.S. either as visitors or as immigrants. And there was, at least when I was there, there was a lot of fraud,. you know, because we would say underU.S. law, the traveler has to show that they've got ties to their home country.
