A young black man named Sean McCray was awarded a scholarship to an elite private middle school. Not long after he starts selling crack cocaine, what does Sean McCray embody for you in this book? I should say that Sean is one of the characters that annoyed me the most in writing his story. Because he just made so many poor decisions. But it was important for me to include Sean becauseI think he's so representative of the young male American spirit.
