There was a lot of work done early on to try to understand why, right? Why are some people born left-handed? Early studies claimed handedness was genetic, so it ran in families. But this was very quickly countered by studies in identical twins where they found there's really a lack of concordance among identical twins. And for example, there were some early claims that left-handedness was caused by birth trauma.
