The Story of Samanes
Buddha was from a privileged background and would have had a lot make a better life than many of the other people living in his region. The story says that eventually he got kind of curious and went out on a chariot ride with his servant. And that he saw a dead man, a sick man and an old man. He decided to go on a quest to find the answer to why we suffer. So he adopted what called the middle way. We saw his past lives, et cetera. And he achieved his god and became the buddha.
