How I Changed My Writing Process Over the Years

I wondered how your writing process in particular has changed over the years because you've written some very different types of books. How do you decide on what book to write next because they're so diverse? The vanishing Asia book which you mentioned does have 9,000 captions. There are some words and even though there are 9,000 images as well but that was a matter of labeling rather than creative writing although I had to condense some a lot of information about a picture into a few words. My natural tendencies is to edit. I'm comfortable editing. I am just in pain trying to write that first draft... it's excruciating.
