The Importance of Perkin Warbeck's Execution
Perkin Warbeck was executed by King Henry VII for pretending to be Edward Plantagenet. Catherine of Eragon knew that the hanging was distantly a result of pressure that her parents were putting on England on her behalf. A lady in waiting, Jane Dormer, would write in her memoir that Catherine would feel responsible for the death of the innocent Edward plantagenet. And Catherine would experience tragedies later in her life.
