How Do New Technologies Change Our Transportation System?
New technologies do not fundamentally change what you call the geometry of our transportation system. An automobile, whether it's human driven or atonomous, in a robot driven takes up an order of magnitude more space than a bicycle. Even atonimous cars will probably need parking spaces, off street parking, at least. They'll need a lot of curbed space for dropping off and picking up passengers. Very few jurisdictions, especially in north america are applying any sort of roadand parking pricing. And so are current policies are inefficient.
