The Image of Extremism Limits Their Gains

Historically, if you have the set of conditions that we had in November 22, the outparty should be looking at substantial gains. And yet Republicans enormously underperformed and the principal reason they underperformed it really all levels was that too many voters who were dissatisfied with the way things are going thought that Republicans are too extreme to entrust with power. It seems like Kevin McCarthy is not the man for this job.
