CHAPTER

Is There a Problem of Evil?

Rupert and Paul: One of the obstacles for you to fully believe in Christianity was a problem of evil. How would you respond to someone who says that they couldn't believe in God because of the problem of evil? Rupert: I think this idea of God as the omni-God is not the traditional Judeo-Christian view of God at all. The Old Testament God is thoroughly unpleasant in many places, you know, sending curses upon Egypt,. And it's certainly not a loving God who's everything's perfect and stuff.
