How to End an Inquiry Thread Correctly
To end an inquiry thread or story correctly, all questions need to have been answered. If you leave those unresolved, that's when the reader is going to be unsatisfied. You can also make it a designed state, that this is just something that we will never know the answer to. The other piece is that, if you get to the end of a story and you open up that new question, that's called a cliff hangery.
