Beethoven's Fur Elisa
The piece was never published during beethoven's lifetime. It wasn't published until 18 67, four decades after he died. But it is one of his most famous and well known works today. Thought to have been written for a woman called teresa malthatti. And like so many other women, she wasn't interested in him. So he walked away. Many years later, amongst malpati's personal papers, was found the sheet music for a piece called fur eliza. He had always been a pretty neat and tidy bloke, but around this time he stopped taking care of himself as he had been before.
