The Importance of Awareness in the Design Technology Sector

I don't think there's like a conscious decision to exclude people. I've never come across engineers or designers that are going out of their way to deliberately exclude people. There is a lack of awareness and understanding, which stems from early on in my journey studying product design. Until it becomes front and centre in design technology in schools and interwoven through so university degrees and it's got that primary seat at the table then we'll have huge gaps in knowledge.
