The oxyge union is a debasing society that's nearly 200 years old in a massive chamber com gentleman's club in the middle of town. What you learn there is not to run things, because there's nothing really to run. There's no policy to make. It's about being an entertainer, about being funny. So all these rhetorical tricks, which you see in the commons still, are from the oxford union. Iam, just thinking about the the hell i have been through trying to teach formal grammar to my children. And to think that it had its origins with michael gove in oxford in the 19 eighties is quite striking.
