A big source of neck pain which you and I've discussed multiple times is referred pain from the spine from the neck. One oddball is C7, if you have a deep posterior pain under your scapula that can be C7 and that's right where it goes. Almost never does the pain radii down below the elbow whereas neck origin whether it's a pinch nerves that the lower cervical spine where it's more common to have pathology almost always goes down below the elbows into the hand.
