The Relationship Between ADHD and Alcohol Use Disorder
Lifetime prevalence of alcohol misuse in ADHD is a whopping 43%. lifetime prevalence of alcohol dependence is around three to 11%. It's a lot lower in all people, but I forgot to write the number down. If you have AUD, you might be almost 10 times more likely to have ADHD as well. Also, ADHD symptoms and alcohol use during adolescence mutually increases the severity of the other one.
