What's on the Horizon for Postgres?

Postgres got pluggable storage back ends a couple of years ago, but we haven't seen another predominant one emerge. Postgres is great at full tech surge at geospatial, JSON. I think it's like just missing like being a graph database, like it's good at time series. Django could make crunchy or Postgres's life easier? Is anything jump off your jump to mind? Don't be afraid of the database. You don't have to become an expert at it.
