The Effects of the Canadian Wildfire on the Air Quality
More than 40 million people across the Northeast Midwest and Mid-Atlantic are under air quality alerts. The poor air quality is caused by more than 150 active wildfires burning in Canada. At least 10 school districts in central New York have canceled outdoor activities due to poor air quality. Children who were at risk of lung conditions certainly would be appropriate to minimize their exposure to the outdoor issue because wildfire smoke contains particulate matter.
