Should We Be Nationalizing Tack Platforms?
i recently published a book called platform socialism, which talks about how we can have a better internet and what kind of alternative platforms exist in a lot of these different domains. I don't think nationalization is the only option we have. In addition to a potentially national owned social media company, there are a kind of decentralized alternatives to twitter. And i think that cross platform communication is one of the big benefits of using ope soure software like mastedon. It's an ensemble of a federated service where people can communicate with each other across different platforms.
