The Great Extinction of Humanity
If there was an extinction event, that would wipe out all humanity. There might be something else that will emerge afterwards. And i think scientific ideas are innately worth while. Even if there had been no technology that had come from einstein's theory of relativity, it still would have been one of the crowning achievements of humanity. I am a bit careful about that, because you can just quickly get into this sort of arrogant thing. O, we only need big ideas. O, don't think. But i do think there are some ideas that are really impactful and important and significant in their own right.
