Confessional Writing
I was kind of curious Max how with your book you kind of settled on the form you did or if it just spontaneously came out that way. I think it's always just interesting what forms people reach for and obviously some people just tend to have one form or another, obviously you're a writer of prose anyway so that you had that available to you. What is confessional writing to? Is there such a thing as confessional writing? For me the resonances of the very word grief, they're fakely gentle and twilight and sepia coloured and they're more than full.
