The Fourfoil in Modern Interior Design
The quatrefoil shape first came back in style in a big way in the 19th century during the Gothic revival period. People were seeking style inspiration from the pre-industrial era and kind of hardening back to a simpler time. It is at heart a very simple shape, but somehow there's just a formality to it. And so to take that and reinterpret it into a modern form has appeal for people.
