Do Any of These Stories Have a Personal Back Story?

Many of these stories are about my own preoccupations. One is in part about a little boy who finds a sheep dog stand in his front yard and feels an immediate bond with this dog. Ah, but it's astray. He's heart broken by this, and he has to let it go. The conceit in the story is that every being on earth sesses a soul, but not his or her own. It will be transmitted to you if you meet someone whose soul belongs to you. You'll be offered the gift of an after life.
