The Importance of Confessions

The faith doesn't just come to you by osmosis, somebody teaches it to you. One could ask even in churches that say that they only teach the Bible why teach at all? How do we know with tea if a teacher is an error? Well, when you speak of the creed, I mean, this is how most of the creeds and even our Lutheran confessions came into being as a response to error.
