When you go into expectations, you're setting yourself up for disaster. Your kids might not be ready for you, even though you're ready for them. So that's almost another example of an idea i've heard of which is kind of basing your reality on your actions as opposed to the result of those actions. Yet it's interesting, there a natha process in outcome is a perfect analogue. Because because the outcome is, was i present? Was i ampathetic? And then was I bringing the play and the love? And so i'm not. It's not even in the seitgeist in terms of the outcome of my interaction with the kid.
