The Effects of Vibrating on Muscle Activity

Vibration can be a very effective way of activating the supplementary motor area, the dorsal premotor zone and the somatosensory cortex. If you like decreasing variability of joint position sense in young healthy adults, that's the key. Too much of a good thing can be negative in terms of if you do too much vibration for too long, actually it can induce muscle fatigue. Using the flexibar in standing positions on one leg or whatever, potentially increases the contribution of the rest of the body.
