The Rise and Fall of Jesus in the United States
I think MLK in the American tradition is probably the closest thing to a Jesus-like figure that the United States has had. He was also crucified by a white supremacist society that wasn't accepting of his ideas. And it's right we media that leaps on him immediately and announces him most vociferously. So absolutely, I think that's what would happen.
