"I think VCs are a lot like the hot chicken high school that can really sense, you know, if you've got the confidence and the goods to offer," he says. "If you have good ideas, you'll stick around and the market will filter out." He recalls working for a small company that was VC funded but would get beaten up in Silicon Valley by investors who had an alternative opinion.
