The Fed's Path to More Aggressive Rate Cuts
There's not much daylight between your rates call and their rates call for this year. We're at a 4.6% or so fed funds rate at the end of this year. Our expectation is that they have to cut more aggressively if you get a recession, the unemployment rate rises. The banks were anticipated to be a beneficiary of some of the stress in smaller and medium-sized banks.
