A british acologer spent two years looking at all the species inside one particular bit of hedgerow. And he counted two thousand and 70 in total over those years. He reckoned there were more than three thousand, but he could only count two thousand because they were with the naked eye that he was looking at them. Two thousand species is the most detailed study of a hedge ever made. Ever. I guarantee you can't define enclosure ten seconds after hearing about it.
