CHAPTER

The Limits of the Human Condition

Dewy was not an assistential thinker at all. It's just that he believed that human beings had been so obsessed with their limits that they had to be released from that obsession and recognized those limits being contingent and provisional, rather than eternal and universal. And obsession with limits can lead to resignation awfully quick right? And rationalization of oppression and rationalization of domination. Ee, it's just that there are provisional limits that need be called into question. But then we all die. We all live for a while, and we all breathe. We all get sick. We all have to wrestle with death of our love ones. Those things are not reducible just to social limits.
