The Kremlin's Strategy in Ukraine

Russia's key strategic asset is its will that Ukraine matters to Moscow more than it matters to Washington. Russia can't manage to win either the long war or escalatory options which are all massively dangerous politically and indeed economically for that matter. It has no way of redefining this war any further in a way that will allow it to sort of pull its way out ultimately it's stuck, says Peter Bergen.
