Is Enron Committing Legal Fraud?
A lot of what happened in the global financial crisis was legal hence the lack of prosecutions but it's also not behavior that leads to a healthy market or for that matter a healthy society. Is it possible that Enron as you say was committing legal fraud, they in fact were not, they prosecuted them to a greater extent than the law as written at the time would have warranted? In other words, was there something legally invalid in the quantity of sentence that they got? It's a really tricky question because I think in salute terms, Enron needed to be prosecuted and needed to be Prosecuted aggressively.
