Sweene is adamant that we cannot allow apple and google to continue to have their tight grip on the next computing platform. He says he worries that while meta does talk that talk, their business interests will increasingly push them in the direction of charging 30 ernt fees for advertisements within the meta verse. If they turn out to be another glugal lone in terms of being a gatekeeper that's charging onerous rents we'll be frustrated, and we'll go after them.

Passively managed index funds have overtaken actively managed funds’ ownership of the US stock market for the first time and Brazil is cracking down on fake news on social media sites in the run-up to this October’s election.
