The Time From Home
Timepieces from the old world are a popular gift for new migrants. They include clocks set to moon-driven tides and sun-speckled waterfalls. Poets on ancient earth spoke of people connected by threads of affection but divided by distance gazing upon the moon, imagining they do so at the same time. Gazing upon the time from home we can imagine that light years away our souls are entangled with those whose stories we share; one common species scattered among the stars.
