The Right-Wing Influence Campaign Against the Electronic Registration Information Center

NPR spent months investigating why states are abandoning a national program called the Electronic Registration Information Center. The reporting revealed an extensive right-wing influence campaign packed with election deniers and Trump allies. Dozens of states use ERIC to keep their voter rolls up to date and share data with other states. It's the only system in place to track and catch people who vote in two different states in the same election, which is illegal.
