Andrew Leakey's Execution

On March 3rd of 2008, a jury unanimously convicted Leakey of Charlie Newman's murder. Five years later, on July 25th of 2013, Andrew Leakey was executed by lethal injection. His last meal came from the prison kitchen and included grilled cheese and baloney sandwiches with french fries. In the final week of his life, he was permitted to receive a visit from his mother. An unnamed man and two women witnessed the execution on behalf of the victim's loved ones. The condemned man's torso convulsed slightly during the several minutes that followed.
