Peter Bergen: If this weren't such a big bank collapsing, it might have turned out differently. He says there was nothing like what we saw with Silicon Valley Bank and then the eventual sale to JP Morgan Chase. The idea that deposits would disappear potentially or be shrunk was unprecedented, he says. Bergen: I think the trust in the banking system would have shaken and shuttered.
