The Importance of Filibusters in the Senate

If we increase minimum wage to $15 an hour, there would be fewer jobs. The only way to get past the threat of filibuster is if you have 60 senators vote to make a filibuster-ing senator shut up. Until one party has at least 67 seats and agrees to do it, filibusters aren't going to go anywhere.
