The Coney Island Mermaid Parade

The Coney Island Mermaid Parade is one of the few New York institutions that has remained pretty much steady. Today, the parade is a lot bigger than when Larry first visited back in 1992. The mermaid parade usually happens right around the summer solstice every year in June. And of course, you can visit Coney Island year round.
