The Circle of Concern Versus the Circle of Influence
You can't influence without warmth, but you have to listen. This is one of the mistakes we make when it comes to influence,. We think influence is all about me telling you why you should do what i want you to do. It's a two way street. And if i start by saying, what's your perspective on this issue, and what do you think we should do? You're much more willing to listen to me. I wonder if you could talk through that tool so that people who were listening might be able to take it away and try it out themselves. The circle of concern is basically everything that we are worried about - not everything. What i can control is my own
