The Effect of Memory on the Brain
One of the things that we do when we're born is we start to put the world together in our brains. If something enters that after the baby is already established its reality then that gets very dicey as to what it's going to see. Most of your brain activity involves the catalog it is looking for memories to make sense of what it's seeing this is constant and instantaneous but if something came into this that shouldn't be here we might see it in very different ways or not at all.
