David Duvenau: What did you think was going to happen under the counterfactual that somehow AI is prevented, or at least the risky forms of AI were prevented from existing? He says we expect our descendants to have more ways to modify themselves, not just culturally, but they could do genetic engineering and mind control. And third, we might have extended lifespans, perhaps even immortality, in which case, more older generations would overlap with new generations living in the same place and time.Duvenau: I don't have much to say about judgment on that future because it seems so different. But how concerned are you that we develop better forms of human mind control and cultural control
